The Bucks, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, aim to extend their winning streak against the Bulls

On March 1, the Milwaukee Bucks achieved a milestone by winning four games in a row, a feat they hadn’t accomplished since the start of 2024.

Their next challenge is to equal their second-longest winning streak of the season when they face the Chicago Bulls on Friday night.

The Bucks have been dominant in their recent victories, winning their last three games by an average of 23.7 points.

This includes a successful home-and-home series against the Charlotte Hornets, where they won the away game 111-99 on Thursday, completing a four-game season sweep with an impressive average winning margin of 29.3 points.

Since Doc Rivers took over as coach, the Bucks have been on an impressive winning streak of four games. Bobby Portis, the team’s forward, believes that Rivers has had a significant impact on the team.

Under their previous coach, Adrian Griffin, who was fired on January 23 despite a strong 30-13 record, the team struggled to find harmony.

Portis credits Doc for his ability to sit down with each player and clearly communicate his expectations. This has led to a greater sense of ownership over their roles on the team.

Portis also highlights the importance of ball movement, playing freely, and driving and kicking. This style of play has resulted in the ball finding the right player, leading to successful shots for everyone on the team.

Giannis Antetokounmpo showcased his skills once again, scoring an impressive 24 points on 10-of-15 shooting and grabbing 10 rebounds in Thursday’s game.

Throughout the winning streak, Antetokounmpo has been averaging an outstanding 27.8 points while shooting an incredible 63.8 percent from the field.

The Bucks’ Malik Beasley had a remarkable performance, sinking five 3-pointers and finishing the game with 19 points. Meanwhile, Damian Lillard contributed 17 points, and Portis added 14 points along with 10 rebounds.

Their combined efforts showcased the team’s strength and determination. The Bulls are currently wrapping up a three-game homestand, which started off on a disappointing note with a 105-95 loss to the NBA-worst Detroit Pistons.

However, they quickly bounced back the following night with an exhilarating 132-123 double-overtime victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This win was fueled by an impressive rebounding advantage, with the Bulls outperforming the Cavaliers with a staggering 74-39 rebounding margin.

Andre Drummond, a seasoned veteran, played a pivotal role by collecting a season-best 26 rebounds, including nine on the offensive end.

His exceptional rebounding skills have earned him four NBA rebounding titles, making him a standout player in the league.

His teammate, DeMar DeRozan, praised Drummond’s rebounding skills, highlighting the unique old-school approach that sets him apart from others in the league.

The Bulls were truly tested physically during the second game of a back-to-back, with Coby White logging 50 minutes, DeRozan scoring 35 points in 49 minutes, Ayo Dosunmu playing for 48 minutes, and Nikola Vucevic contributing 40 minutes on the court.

DeRozan, at 34 years old, is showcasing an Ironman-like performance, leading the league with an average of 37.9 minutes per game. 2.

In the recent game, DeRozan expressed his enjoyment of the high-intensity matchups, comparing it to the carefree days of childhood when playing until the streetlights came on.

The Bulls have faced the Bucks three times this season, with Milwaukee winning two games, but Chicago emerged victorious in a thrilling 120-113 overtime win on Nov. 30, led by Vucevic’s 29 points.
